The Spillane Ancestory
The Written Version of What I have:


     John Spillane was born either in Cork, Ireland or in Scotland in 1818. He was about 14 years old when he came to Quebec or Montreal, Canada, from Cork with some people that had race horses. He worked for them.

     John Spillane met Mary Ann King in Canada and married her. She was born in England in 1828. Her mother's maiden name was Martin. Mary Ann's father and 2 brothers, Billie and George King, came with them to Michigan and settled one mile south of Swartz Creek (Hill and Morrish ROads). Mary Ann Spillane died in 1868. On the tombstone it said she was 40 years old.
